Cool University

Cool University is the campus for Rita's Italian Ice's 4,500 square foot state of the art training center located in Bensalem, Pa.

At Cool University (aka Cool U), our Franchise Partners and Treat Team Managers learn how to successfully operate a store through a series of intensive workshops. Cool U attendees receive personalized, hands on training from a dedicated team of Rita's Education Specialists. Not only do our Partners learn how to make our famous treats, they learn how to uphold company standards, program registers, train staff and other essential operating procedures. Each of our Partners is required to attend the comprehensive training sessions to ensure that he or she has the necessary knowledge and experience to build a successful business and deliver our promise of "Ice, Custard and Happiness" to you our Guest!

In addition to our Cool U training facilities and retail store, our franchise partners and Treat Team managers also train at one of our satellite Cool University Campuses - wich are specially designated Rita’s locations throughout our system. At these Cool U Campuses, franchise partners and Treat Team managers work alongside seasoned franchise partners to gain hands-on experience and insight in a store environment.

Aside from being an onsite training facility, the Cool U Store is home to some of the sweetest treats on earth and features a mouthwatering 8 foot high model cup of our famous and delicious Cherry Italian Ice. It is the largest cup of Cherry Italian Ice produced in the world!

The Cool U Store also assists by providing an outlet for our research and development efforts as we test new and exciting products, try out tantalizing flavors and create special treats in a true Guest environment.
